Welkom op de website van de Docentenvereniging Neurorevalidatie!

De docentenvereniging voert een logo dat een balans symboliseert tussen de wetenschap en het praktijkveld. De onderbouwing van het klinisch handelen wordt mogelijk door beschikbare evidentie. Ook wordt het klinische handelen gestuurd door theorie en ervaring. En tenslotte leidt de opgebouwde praktijkervaring tot nieuwe onderzoeksvragen.

De behandelaar staat als speler in dit veld en zal een verbinding moeten maken tussen evidentie en de dagelijkse praktijk van veelal complexe en gevarieerde problematiek.

Dear Professor, Dear Doctor, Dear Colleague,

Traditionally two years after the World Federation of Neuroscience nurses (WFNN) Congress (of 2009), the European Association Neuroscience Nurses (EANN) Congress (of 2011) takes place.

For the ninth edition, Belgium is the host country.
Place to be: Floreal Club Congress Centre in Blankenberge, organised by the Belgian Association of Neuroscience Nurses (BVNV).
This ninth EANN Congress takes place from May 4th until May 7th, 2011.

We would appreciate to welcome you in Blankenberge. As you can see on the website, www.eann2011.com, you can also stay at the congress centre. Everything takes place in the same building (congress, stay, breakfast, lunch, recreation).

The Congress Centre is located near the North Sea; the beach is only 100 metres away.

The Belgian Association of Neuroscience Nurses organises this EANN Congress in view of multidisciplinary cooperation. For the first time we also accept abstracts from colleagues who deal with the guidance and counselling of neurological and/or neurosurgical patients; the care for the neurological patient, however, needs to be the focus.

May we ask you to spread this mailing to colleagues/nurses/paramedics, who deal with neurology and/or neurosurgery.

We also organise a post-congress tour and you can visit Bruges and Flanders Fields.
During World War I (1914-1918) and World War II (1940-1945), a lot of allied soldiers died in the battles near Ypres, Diksmuide and in the Westhoek.

Some facts about Belgium: you may know us from beautiful cities such as Brussels (the heart of the European Union), Ghent, Bruges, Antwerp, but also from our history.
Our neighbouring countries are the Netherlands, France, Luxemburg, Germany and across the Channel: the United Kingdom. Paris and London are only 1h30 away by train.
By plane, Belgium can be reached through the airports of Brussels, Ostend and Charleroi.
